56th Annual Grammy Awards to have remaining Beatles perform.
Los Angeles Ca. The 56th Annual Grammy Awards have the potential to be an amazing night in performances alone. Surviving Beatles Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will be performing together for the show. Ringo Starr is also set to receive the 2014 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award. Paul McCartney is up for multiple awards for his “Cut Me Some Slack” track recorded with Nirvana’s Dave Grohl and Krist Noveselic which was premiered at the Hurricane Sandy 12-12-12 Benefit.
Other stellar performances are sure to be given by the amazing collaboration from of Daft Punk, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, and Nile Rodgers performing hit song Get Lucky. Then there is the long awaited return of Rock Legends Metallica who have not performed at the Grammys since 1991 when they played with pianist Lang Lang. In addition 2014 Musicares person of the year Carole King performing with Sara Bareilles . Also expect a set from R&B Album of the year nom John Legend.
Other performances on the still growing lineup include rapper Kendrick Lamar, pop stars Katy Perry, Robin Thicke, and Pink. Alternative acts include Lorde, Imagine Dragons, and Fun. Country will be represented by stars Keith Urban, pop princess Tayler Swift, and new comer Kacey Musgraves, along with legends Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. The fans can also look forward to seeing Chicago, Kris Kristopherson, Nate Ruess, and Blake Shelton.
The 56th Annual Academy Awards will air live on January 26th from Los Angeles on CBS.
